How CrowdSmart Works

CrowdSmart offers a range of capabilities, but the essential functionality is as follows:

Create a CrowdSmart collaboration from a pre-defined application or use the free-form engagement builder. Collaborations must have at least one open-ended prompt that encourages descriptive responses or idea generation on a topic.

Make the prompt available by disseminating a link to the CrowdSmart collaboration.

  • A participant enters ideas in a brainstorm-type fashion. Multiple responses are encouraged.
  • The CrowdSmart AI facilitator selects a diverse set of ideas from other participants and displays seven ideas for review to the participant
  • The participant reviews the ideas, selects those that are relevant and important to their own point of view, and indicates their alignment through a ranking exercise.

The AI compares interactions with the ideas over time and detects areas of consensus.

AI-based reporting provides simple results that indicate ideas that are considered most relevant by the most participants.

Participants can return to the collaboration to review results, enter new ideas, or interact with new ideas submitted by others. The AI prevents ‘stuffing the ballot box’ or over-promoting an idea. No one collaborator or subgroup of collaborators can have a disproportionate impact on the results.
